Shore Points Amateur Radio Club Minutes of the meeting held September 17, 2015 at the Brigantine Community Center The meeting commenced at 7:35 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence for silent key Ed Clark W2KP and introductions, with club president Rick Hitchen presiding. Eleven voting members, one associate member and two guests were present. Club Treasurer, Bob Webb read the financial report for August. There was a complete accounting of all of the club's financial assets in the amount of $807.86. Rick motioned to accept the report, Dave Holmes seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes of the previous meeting, held on August 20, 2015, were read by the club secretary, David Holmes. Rick motioned to accept the minutes, Bob McFadden seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Repeater Report: Gary Paul reported that all is working well with the repeaters. Old Business: Situation is still the same with the ten meter net. New Business: Rick instructed Vice President Bob McFadden to convene a nominating committee to nominate a slate of officers to run in the club election to be held at the December meeting. Rick suggested a foxhunt to be held in Brigantine sometime in the near future. Open discussion on this was held with a vast majority showing interest and determining that participants would meet at 10:00 AM on Sunday October 18th in the parking lot across from the Brigantine Community Center near the tennis courts. A number of potential participants also showed interest in meeting for breakfast before the foxhunt at 8:30 AM at Mad Dog Morgan's. Tony Giardina mentioned that he is in possession of the club gavel. David mentioned that Gary Paul had offered to sell his Yeasu DR-1X Fusion repeater to the club. Gary said that he could sell it to the club for $500.00 and install it anytime after October 1st. He could then sell the current repeater and controller for the club, take his $500.00 out of those proceeds with the remainder going to the club treasury. Rick motioned for the club to purchase Gary's Yeasu DR-1X and for Gary to facilitate the sale of the current repeater and controller. Dave seconded and the motion passed unanimously. At 8:31 PM the meeting was adjourned. Immediately following the meeting a 50/50 drawing was held. Marie Twist drew winning ticket which was held by Rick and the club netted $21.00.
